He was predeceased by: his parents, Harrison Cord and Mary Cord (Becker); and his sister Martha Jean. He is survived by: his wife Helen Cord (Johnson); his daughters, Sondra, Roxanne, Donna and Kristina; and his siblings, Michael (Sherri) and Judith. He is also survived by five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the American Heart Association.
