It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Paul Shepherd Jr. of Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on September 18, 2025, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandchildren, Eszence Faith, Riddick Horvath, Rekker Horvath and Soffia Shepherd; his mother Nancy Isenbrand; and his grandmother Elizabeth Holland.
He is survived by: his wife Hazel; his children, Amanda Horvath (Stephen), Stephaine Garrett (Joshua), Kathleen NeSmith (Ricky) and Dalton Shepherd (Sara); his grandchildren, Mackenzie Sevedge, Madilyn McCann, Chloe Tenny, Zoey Shepherd, Ryker Horvath, Mia NeSmith, Elliee Shepherd, Ariella Garrett and Obadiah Garrett; and his siblings, Kathy Kester, Troy Isenbrand (Mary), Todd Isenbrand and Brian Isenbrand.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Elizabeth Holland Park in loving memory of Paul, honoring his grandmother, Elizabeth Holland.
