She was predeceased by: her parents, Florence Nelson (Collet) and Otto Nelson; her husband Calvin Brown; and her sister Bonnie Nelson. She is survived by: her children, Diane Brown of Waterloo, Steven Brown (Junie) of Henderson, CO, Janene Kraft (Thom) of Altoona, IA, David Brown (Deb) of Albertville, MN and Linda Gill (Steve) of Denver, IA.. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Home (300 West Ridgeway Ave., Waterloo, IA 50701). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Crossroads Assembly of God (3205 Bethel St, Waterloo, IA 50702).
