With sadness, we share the passing of Raymond Potter (Des Moines, Iowa). Raymond, born on August 4, 1930, passed away on September 21, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Potter and Lillian Potter; his wife Barbara May; his children, Charis and Jeff; his granddaughter Tamera; and his sisters, Helen and Lois.
He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Darcy Potter; his grandson John Potter (Candice); and his great grandchildren, Drake and Tanner.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sheridan Park United Methodist Church (4100 E Sheridan Ave, Des Moines, IA 50317). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Ray.
