He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Chapman and Madelyn Chapman (Fisher); his wife Jennie Belle McAfee-Chapman; his stepson Robert Padgett Jr.; and his siblings, Roezella, Ardis, Louana, Oliver Jr., Stanley "John", Robert and Clair.
He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Lawlor (Tim), Deb Chiri (Bob), Curt Chapman and Michael Chapman (Terri); and his stepdaughter Lynda Cannon. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
