He was predeceased by: his parents, Doyle W. Garland and Rachel P. Garland (Butcher); his wife Florence I. Garland; his son Ronald Garland; his siblings, Donna, Martha, Gale, Dean, Melford, Bill and Jack; and his grandson Seth Garland.
He is survived by: his brother Lane; and his children, Patricia Smith (John), David Garland (Marsha), Gary Garland, Karen Monson and Sharon Kramer. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and 32 great-grandchildren.
