He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Roland and Louise Roland (Sarasio); his brother Robert Roland; and his grandson Ace Roland Johnston. He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Todd Roland (Judi), McKinzie Johnston (Dustin) and Kristin Exline (Ed Ryan); his brother Roger Roland (Christy); and his siblings-in-law, Crystal Pierce, Deb Jessee (Wayne) and Kelly Pierce (Marna). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made in Dewey's memory to the Des Moines Police Honor Guard or EveryStep Hospice, whose compassion and support meant so much to Dewey and his family during his final days.
