Rob Light Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 19, 2025, at the age of 60, Rob Light (Des Moines, Iowa) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rob Light to pay them a last tribute.
As we bid Rob farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Rob is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his father Bruce Light; and his brother Craig Light. He is survived by: his mother Monica Light; his brother Todd Light; his sister-in-law Sally Knox (Bryan); his nephew Nick Light (Megan); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Alayna and Easton.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hamilton's Near Highland Memory Gardens (121 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines, IA 50313). A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lutheran Church (1701 8th St SW, Altoona, IA 50009). A burial will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at the Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery (1 NE 60th Ave, Des Moines, IA 50313).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Mosaic in Central Iowa or the Iowa League of Heroes in loving memory of Rob Light.
