Robert leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Robert’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Robert will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar P. Cook and Mary L. Cook; his brothers, Jack L. Cook and Bill D. Davenport (Shirley); his nephews, Tommy D. Davenport (Naomi) and Johnny P. Davenport (Karla); and his niece Mary B. Nutt (Tim).
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Guy R. Cook (Cyndi), Billy Davenport (Amy), Fred Cook (Lynette), Nancy Travis (Bryce) and Theresa Jorgenson (Rob). He is also survived by extended family, neighboring friends.
The military honors will be held on Thursday, November 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Pine Hill Cemetery (400 NW 54th Ave, Des Moines, IA 50313).
