He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lee Redd, Sr. and Theresa Rosa Lee Brown (Newman); his wife Joan Redd; and his brothers, Clifton Lewis and Darrell Lewis.
He is survived by: his daughter Octavia Redd; his granddaughters, ShyAire Redd, Kourtni Redd and Lanesha Redd (Derek Ivy); his great grandchildren, Jordynn, Zyaire, Larry Jr., Aubree, Derek Jr., Royal, Royce and O'siah; his brothers, William L. Redd, Jr. (Valerie) and Maurice Redd; and his close friend Ruth Wilson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hamilton's Funeral Home (605 Lyon St, Des Moines, IA 50309). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Robert.
