She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Manguson and Elizabeth Manguson (Reed); her husband John Nigro, Sr.; her son Don Nigro; and her grandson John Nigro, III.
She is survived by: her children, John Nigro, Jr., Pete Nigro (Teresa) and Michelle Carson (Matt); her grandchildren, Carmine Nigro, Taylor Nigro, Ariana Thorold (Barny), Tony Nigro (Alyssa), Cade Nigro, Nina Murray (Tim), Dominic Cosimo and Talia Carson; her great grandchildren, Hadden Thorold, David Nigro, Sadie, Lincoln Murray and Nicholas Cosimo; her sisters, Charlene Kelley (Pat) and Gail Lundquist (Dave); her sisters-in-law, Mary Gilman and Bonnie Nigro; and her pets, Nala, Vinny and Lambeau. She is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Prayer Service Lincoln Commons Lincoln High School (2600 SW 9th St, Des Moines, IA 50315). A prayer was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 3:45 PM at the Lincoln High School (2600 SW 9th St, Des Moines, IA 50315).
