He is survived by: his mother Marguerite Parsons (Broherd); his children, Jessica Coles (Andy) of Des Moines, Alisa Lamb (Allen) of Des Moines and Joshua Parsons of Des Moines; his grandchildren, Bailey Lamb (Samantha), Andrew Lamb (Becca), Brianna Lamb (Adam), Sadie Lamb (Isaiah), Logan Lamb, Kyle Lamb, Colin Parsons, Drew Coles and Kylie Coles (John); his great grandchildren, Jiriya, Makinsey, Zeke, Athena, Atlas and John "JJ" Henry; his siblings, Gelene Logsdon (Bob) of Ankeny and Kenny Parsons (Debbie) of Des Moines; and his partner's children, Wayne McDaniel (Kasey), Heather Oliver (Brian) and Aaron McDaniel.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Iles Grandview Park Chapel Iles Grandview Park Chapel (3211 Hubbell Ave, Des Moines, IA 50317).
