We are sad to announce that on June 22, 2022, at the age of 87, Russell Steele of Des Moines, Iowa, born in Corning, Iowa passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Russell Steele to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Steele and Lucille Steele; and his siblings, Jim, Connie and Betty.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Kyle Tapps, Amy Ford, Kelsey Tapps, Korey Tapps and Sara Steele; his wife Roberta Townsend; his children, Linda Tapps (Lee) and Russell Steele (Penny); and his brother-in-law Bill Halverson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to EveryStep Hospice or The Goldstar Museum at Camp Dodge.
