It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel J. Rizzuti (Des Moines, Iowa), who passed away on November 28, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Luigi Rizzuti and Serafina Rizzuti (Berardi); his wife June Rizzuti; and his brother Dominic Rizzuti. He is survived by: his nephews, Lou, Dominic Jr. and Rocky; his children, Linda Hagen (Mark), Pam Baker (Jeff), Lisa Eads (Robert) and Sam Rizzuti II; his grandchildren, Katie Woodruff (Matt), Carly Gazdick (Stephen), Sara Baker, James Baker, Ashley Eads, Robert Eads and Caleb Rizzuti; and his great grandchildren, Hunter and Cody Gazdick.

Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Anthony's Catholic Church or the Polk County West Side Senior Center in loving memory of Sam.
