She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Charles Ghaston and Nellie Marie Ghaston; her former husband Richard Fogarty, Sr.; her husband Al Overton; her son Rob Fogarty (Karie); and her stepchildren, Timothy Overton, Sharon Harmon (Ron), Shirley Evans (Dan), Suellen Overton, Sandra Ouimet (Don) and Sally Overton. She was also cherished by 17 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Sharon worked at the American Heart Association before obtaining her position at the Polk County Courthouse where she worked in Court Administration for many years before her retirement in 2001.
