She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Gilbert and Mildred Gilbert; her former husband Frank Sly; her husband Richard M. Phipps; her children, Richie Phipps and Frank Sly; and her siblings, Joyce Gilbert, Barb Meislan, Roger Gilbert and Larry Gilbert.

She is survived by: her children, Tammy Thomas (Scott) and Tim Sly Sr.; and her siblings, Duane Gilbert, Virginia McCaulley and Stephen Gilbert. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
