With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Sue Volk (Des Moines, Iowa), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Sue left this world on September 16, 2025 at the age of 61, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Otto, Anna Sanders, Andrew and Katherine Esbeck; her father Lyle Eugene Esbeck; and her nephews, Jason and Jeffery.
She is survived by: her husband Michael Volk; her children, Jessica Volk (Heather) and Jason Volk (Bethany); her grandchildren, Hadley Louise, Oliver Michael, Bennett Eugene and Sullivan Joseph; and her mother Jessie Lou Esbeck (Sanders).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home (5400 SW 9th St, Des Moines, IA 50315).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Sue's memory may be directed to the family to be distributed at a later date.
