He was predeceased by : his parents, Darwin Stanley and Madeline Stanley (Flahive). He is survived by : his children, Annette Taylor (Mark), Sarah Stanley of Kansas City, MO and James Stanley (Jeni) of Waldorf, MD; his granddaughters, Madi, Willa, Clara Stanley, Natalie and Caroline Taylor; and his siblings, James Stanley (Cathy) of Shawnee, KS, Diane Stanley (Marc Oetker) of Des Moines and Linda Vorrath (Dave) of Lake Worth, FL. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Iles-Grandview Park Funeral Home (3211 Hubbell Ave, Des Moines, IA 50317).
