With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Valerie Wiorek of Des Moines, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 25, 2025 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Betty Lou Calvert; her sister Michelle Patton; and her significant other Craig Michael. She is survived by: her children, Heather Gomez (Jessie), Natasha Miller (Ben), Elisha Gomez (Pedro), Crystal Flanagan (Ryan) and Travis Michael; her siblings, Terry Calvert, Ronnie Calvert Sr. and Lauralie Marean; and her grandchildren, Jasmine, Angelica, Kyle, Sonny, Jordan, Julian, Cynthia, Taylor, Mauricio, Chase, Lily, Aaliyah, Mark, Esperanza, Ben, Hudson, Gianna, Athena and Azaylie.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hamilton's Near Highland Memory Gardens (121 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines, IA 50313). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in memory of Valerie.
