It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Violet Riewer (Des Moines, Iowa), born in Wolf Lake, Minnesota, who passed away on November 24, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Keranen and Esther Keranen (Koskela); her husband Bob; her son-in-law Dave Johnson; her brother Wilbert; and her sister-in-law Lorraine Keranen.
She is survived by: her children, Yvonne Batcheller (Rick), Tammy Mayfield (Mike), Yvette Johnson, Terri Landis (Todd), Richard Riewer (Linda) and Robert "Tony" Riewer (Tanya); her grandchildren, Denise Berman, Jenifer May, Mark, Britney Murray, Deven, Danielle Johnson, Betsy Madsen, Jacki Anderson, Kayla, Scott, Peyton, Austin Riewer, Martin Halbur and Victoria Elbert; and her great grandchildren, Madison, Hayden, Bradley, Kale, Kellan and Lorelei. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; other loving relatives; along with many special friends.
