William T. Cahail Obituary

We bid farewell to William T. Cahail of Des Moines, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 26, 2025 at the age of 86. William touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Winebrenner and Naomi Winebrenner; his son Thomas Cahail; and his friends, John Solhjem, Jr. and Darla Ogg.

He is survived by: his daughters, Cynthia Cowden (Tracy) of Ogden and Katherine Cahail (David Lundberg) of Des Moines; his grandchildren, Wesley Johnson of Des Moines and Elizabeth Fogarty (Aiden) of Slater; his daughter Ashley Cowden of Ames; and his great grandchild Isaac Fogarty.

Visitation was held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hamilton's Funeral Home (605 Lyon St, Des Moines, IA 50309). A prayer was held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery (34024 Veterans Memorial Dr, Adel, IA 50003).
