He is survived by: his daughters, Rita DeBartolo (Rick) and Susan Accurso (Frank); his grandchildren, Ricky DeBartolo (Joie Probst), Sam DeBartolo (Addison), Tony DeBartolo and Frankie Accurso (Emily); his great grandchildren, Sofia and Asher; and his brother Richard Whitham (Carolyn).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home (5400 SW 9th St, Des Moines, IA 50315). The military honors was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery.
