Wilma F. Curry Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wilma F. Curry (Des Moines, Iowa), who passed away on October 3, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Wilma may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Curry and Ethel Curry; her siblings, Emma Fick, Gerald Curry and Edward Curry; her significant other Bob Howe; and her close friend Marguerite Avant.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jean Myers (Dennis), Becky Curry-Cox (Fred) and Tammy Horn (Brian). She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Hamilton's Funeral Home (605 Lyon St, Des Moines, IA 50309). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Lowman Cemetery Se 56th.
