He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Schmidt and Valeta Schmidt (Heiar). He is survived by: his wife Rita Huilman of Patrick's Catholic Church; his sons, Jeffrey (Jodi) of Orange Park, FL, Andrew (Melanie) of Des Moines, IA, Anthony (Christina) of Clinton, MO and Daniel (Natasha) of Des Moines, IA; his grandchildren, Jacob and Logan; his sons, Raegan, Cole, Rylee, Christin, Caitlyn, Courtney, Clayton, Cayson, Kolby, Ember and Aley Holman (Josh); his great grandchildren, Connor, Christian and Cassidy Holman; his sisters, Marjorie Scott-Craig (Walter) of Davenport, IA, Judy Bare (Wes) of Spokane, WA, Linda Schachterle (Dave) of Cedar Falls, IA and Denise Twohig (Steve) of Boise, ID.; and his siblings-in-law, Loras Huilman (Sara), Linda Pucket (Robert), Lucinda Jorgensen and Helen Wood. He is also survived by several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
