He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Lippens and Julia Bertia Lippens (Lampaert); his siblings, Emily Caes, John Lippens, Rose Singlemann, Robert Lippens and Peter Lippens; and his grandson Michael Wulf.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann Behr; his children, Mark Lippens (Julie Brown) of Maquoketa, Jeff Lippens (Beth) of Grand Mound, Cindy Williams of Jacksonville, Michele Wulf (Gerry "Osky") of Calamus, Doug Lippens (Heidi) of Miles, Ron Lippens (Wendi) of Goose Lake and Jamie Lippens (Amy) of DeWitt; and his sister-in-law Marian Nichols. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, and 32 great-grandchildren.
