Though Joan may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her mother Josephine Syer (Abram); her stepfather Charles Syer; and her father Stanley Swierczynski. She is survived by: her husband Jack; her children, Carl Sewejkis Jr. of DeWitt, Connie Sewejkis Collum of DeWitt, Terry Sewejkis of DeWitt and Steven Sewejkis (Lisa) of Harbor Springs, Michigan; and her sisters, Irene Patterson (Gary) and Diane Lawrence. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at 613 10th St, DeWitt, IA 52742.
