She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Curtis and Leila Curtis (Rohwer); her husband George Claeys; her son-in-law Mark Hughes; her siblings, Ruth, Helen (Bob), Ray (Tulane), Ben (Pat), Ralph, Robert (Dorothy) and Martin; and her sister-in-law Marcia.

She is survived by: her children, John Carlin (Karey) of DeWitt, Nancy Hughes of DeWitt and Julie Walker (Keith) of DeWitt; her grandchildren, Teisha, Jessica (Mitch), Shayla (Austin), Ryan (Allison), Brittney, Allison (Nathan), Lucas (Haylea), Chelsey (Ryan), Lindsey (Sean) and Cody (Courtney); her brother David Curtis; and her sisters-in-law, Holly and Marge. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, as well as George's children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
