It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mark McDermott (Dewitt, Iowa), born in Clinton, Iowa, who passed away on January 11, 2024, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Patrick McDermott and Mary McDermott (Cain); his brother David; his parents-in-law, Ramon and Crystal Burke; and his siblings-in-law, Margie McDermott and Dennis Burke.

He is survived by : his wife Debra McDermott; his sons, Eric McDermott (Bo) of Bloomington, John McDermott of Davenport and David McDermott (Cassie) of Calamus; his grandchildren, Levi and Emma McDermott; his siblings, Barbara Balik (Dan), Mike McDermott (Colleen), Patricia Smith (Mark), Raymond McDermott, Marty McDermott (Anne), Angela Mattke (Dave), Madonna McDermott, Dennis McDermott (Linda), Julie Kinrade (Steve), Jim McDermott (Deanna) and Regina Randall (Brad); and his sisters-in-law, Colleen Burke and Janet Burke. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Catholic School, the Referral Center, or Genesis Hospice.
