It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patricia Tempest Evans of Dewitt, Iowa, born in Spencer, Indiana, who passed away on April 11, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Carl Jessie and Dorothy Jessie (Abney); her husband Ray Evans; her grandson Samuel Evans; her brother Carl Jessie; and her brother-in-law William Ryan.

She is survived by : her children, Rayetta Fox (Abe) of Lost Nation, Andy Evans of Stone Mountain, Georgia, David Evans (Roberta) of Rock Island, Joseph Evans (Julie) of Cedar Rapids and Barbara Evans of DeWitt; her grandchildren, Jason, Heather, Brandon, Tiffany, Cory Jo, Jeanne, Joseph, Bradley, Terrelle, Tamara, Elizabeth, Tyler, Jennifer, Zachary and Jaedon; and her sister Margaret Ryan. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Schultz Funeral Homes (722 8th St, DeWitt, IA 52742). A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 2:45 PM and at 3:00 PM.
