It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Smith of Dewitt, Iowa, who passed away on March 11, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, J. L. Smith and Evelyn Smith (Blanche); and his siblings, David and Debra. He is survived by: his sons, Adam (Nikki) and Matthew (Blanca); the mother of his children Melissa of Nashville, Tennessee; his grandson Jaylen; and his siblings, Jim (Chris) of Akron, Mary Ann Cowan of DeWitt, John (Jo) of Trempealeau, Cathy Bonnett (Steve) of Cedar Rapids, Jeanne Koerber (Bruce) of Cedar Rapids, Betty Johnson (Brad) of DeWitt and Kay Determan (Jess) of DeWitt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Springbrook Country Club (2122 17th Ave, DeWitt, IA 52742).
