She was predeceased by: her husband Edward Charles Witt of Paul's Lutheran Church; her children, Ronald Edward and Lisa Mae; her parents, LeRoy Marten and Adeline Marten; her siblings, Gary Marten (Judy) and Sharon Marten Hitchcock; her brother-in-law Tom Schemmel; and her grandchildren, Allison Grace and Larry Alan Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Laura Witt of Bettendorf, Loren Witt of Copperas Cove and Larry Witt (Melanie) of Camanche, Iowa; her grandson Luke Witt of Camanche; and her siblings, Deanna Schemmel of Durant, Lana Waller (Evans) of Bennett, Iowa and Merlyn Marten (Priscilla) of Proctorville, Ohio. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:15 PM at the Schultz Funeral Home (722 8th St, DeWitt, IA 52742). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to MercyOne Genesis Hospice and Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.
