Lois Anne Sobotka Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lois Anne Sobotka (Diagonal, Iowa), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 8, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Allen and Lois Allen; her husband David Milton Sobotka; her son Dan Edward; her siblings, Willis "Turk" and Kay; and her son-in-law Mike Lohmann.
She is survived by: her children, Brian David (Pam) of Creston, Brent Ivan of Diagonal, Rhonda Lois of Diagonal and Darwin Gene (Michele) of Oro Valley, AZ; her grandchildren, Stacey (Matt) of Creston, Katelyn of Ridgecrest, CA, Travis of Creston, Jacob (Detra) of Tucson, AZ, Tony of Diagonal, Cassidy (Brandon) of Des Moines, Madison of Des Moines and Joshua of Diagonal; and her siblings-in-law, Sharon Sobotka of Diagonal and Lloyd Drake of Tingley. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the United Church of Diagonal (400 Adams St, Diagonal, IA 50845). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
