She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Weseman and Emma Weseman (Dirks); her husband Elmer Willms; her daughter Marcyne Willms; her grandson Joseph Willms; and her son-in-law Michael Welsh.
She is survived by: her children, Marcia Willms of Grundy Center, Lori Welsh of Deptford and Tim Willms (Sharon) of Loveland, Colorado; her granddaughters, Danielle Willms, Cat Schultz (Kurt) and Rachel Vaporis (Luke); her great grandchildren, Joey, Frankie, Georgia Schultz, Schaefer and Finn Vaporis; and her siblings-in-law, Gloria Willms, Chuck Smoldt, Don, JoAnn Willms, Dean and Mary Willms. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Liberty Baptist Church (705 1st St, Dike, IA 50624). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family in care of Abels Funeral Home, 509 4th Street, Grundy Center, IA 50638 for future designation in Darlene's honor.
