He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Burkamper and Anna "Ann" Burkamper (Mortensen); and his sister Jean Wardell. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Kleppe; his daughters, Brenda Wiese (Gaylon) of Bennett and Becky King (Mark) of New Liberty, Iowa; his grandchildren, Adam Wiese (Macy Leonard) and Amanda Wiese (Mitchell Takes); and his stepgrandchildren, Shelby Hall (Derek Rybold), Carey King (Susan) and Corey King (Brit). He is also survived by 10 step-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to Dixon Volunteer Fire Department.
