He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Steffen and Gladys Steffen (Hein); his aunt Viola Steffen; and his grandmother Freda Steffen. He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Steffen (Tom Langford) of Dixon, Darron Steffen of New Liberty and Connie Lochmann of New Liberty; and his sister Anne Steffen. He is also survived by four grandchildren; five great grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to Bennett Ambulance or the New Liberty Fire Department.
