She was predeceased by: her parents, Loretta Koster (Woerdehoff) and William Koster; her husband Sylvan Klein; and her siblings, Madonna Goraczkowski, Robert Koster and Joyce Thraen.
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Andersen (Rick) of Harlan and Bob Klein (Julie) of Harlan; her grandson Ross Andersen (Katie) of Harlan; her children, Nate Andersen (Ilce) of Richmond, GA, Cali Klein (Travis) of Earling, IA, Nic Klein (Becky) of West Des Moines, IA and Haley Gilland (Garret) of Arcadia, IA; and her siblings, Betty Leuck of Harlan, IA, Kenneth Koster (Judy) of Reddington Beach, FL and Dean Koster (Kathy) of Harlan, IA. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (2001 College Pl, Harlan, IA 51537). A wake was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Harlan Cemetery (911 12th St, Harlan, IA 51537).
She volunteered as a 4-H leader, teaching catechism, working and donating at blood mobiles, serving as an election official, working on the board for the Corley Community Club and preparing lunches for many funerals for families at St Micheals as her mother had done previously.
