Gene Myhre Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gene Myhre of Donnellson, Iowa, who passed away on December 28, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Gene may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gene touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Beuell Myhre and Esther Myhre (McGuillvary); and his sister Beverly Brooks. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Varner; and his children, Daniel Myhre (Deborah) of Montrose and Diana Smith (George) of Fort Madison, Iowa.. He is also survived by four grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
A memorial has been established in his memory for Bethel Bible Church.
