He was predeceased by : his parents, Clifford Marion and Evelyn Marie Bogert (Peel). He is survived by : his children, Vanessa Bogert, Derek Bogert and Shaye Bogert; and his sister Janice Gobble (Greg). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

A memorial has been established in his memory for St. Paul's United Church of Christ or Donnellson Fire and Rescue.
