He is survived by: his wife Nancy Honkomp; his children, Elisha Palmer (Sam) of Alvord, IA, Erica Doyle (Cory) of Ireton, IA, Krista Wassenaar (Gary Pech) of Sioux Falls, SD, Briana Harrell (Josh) of Sheldon, IA and Miranda Meendering (Brice) of Sheldon, IA.; his grandchildren, Hunter, Mitchel, Aryanna, Crescentia, Aliviea, Magdalena, William, Kane, Carrigan and Charlotte; his stepgrandsons, Riley and Khason; and his in-laws, Diane Burns (Dick), Barb Vanden Hull (Glen), Shelia Weier (Mike), Marcia Wassenaar, Dave Honkomp (Carol), Bill Honkomp, Tom Honkomp (Charlene), Jan Kruger (Steve), Charlotte Honkomp, Linda Honkomp, Gerald Block, Edward, Grace Honkomp, Robert Honkomp, Richard, Judith Honkomp, Jerald Honkomp, Mary Jo Block, Daniel Honkomp and Connie Honkomp.
A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Alvord Community Center (105 4th St, Alvord, IA 51230).
