He is survived by: his children, Keegan John, Kyson Michael, Kyler Dale, Makiah Noelle and Karsten Jay; his mother Paula Kats (Galen); his siblings, Mandy Van Den (Craig), Josh Van Surksum and Shea Van Surksum; his stepsiblings, Jeremy, Trisha (Joel) and Jeff; his parents-in-law, Mike and Margaret De Jager; his brothers, Jesse, Lacey (Jeremy) and Kasia (David); his great-aunt Betts; his aunt Donna (Marv); his uncle Darlo; and his grandmothers, Patricia Kats and Beth Lupkes. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
