Shirley left this world on July 25, 2025 at the age of 89, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn J. Owens and Greta D. Owens; her husband Charley B. Kunzman; her sister Phyllis Cornwell; and her great grandchildren, Jaxon and Ava Tully.
She is survived by: her daughters, Teresa "Teri" Dickinson (Ed) of Douds, Iowa, Janis "Jani" Mahle (Scott) of Danbury, Wisconsin and Cynthia "Cindy" Kunzman of Rochester, Minnesota; her brother Ronald Owens of Hannibal, Missouri; and her grandchildren, Dane Dickinson, Seth Dickinson (Charlie Haumersen), Alison Dickinson (Jace Otte), Matt Mahle and Nora Tully (Michael). She is also survived by other cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cranston Family Funeral Home - Keosauqua (1517 Broad St, Keosauqua, IA 52565). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location.
She spent many hours gathering, cutting squares of fabric, and putting together quilts and comforters, both for family and to donate for other charitable causes.
