She is survived by: her husband John E. Butler; her children, Susan Ritts (Ed) of Dubuque and Andrew Butler (Debi) of Dubuque; her grandchildren, Edwin Ritts III, Sidney Eskew (Josh), Ryan Butler (Priscilla), Cole and Mason Ritts; her great grandchildren, Nellie, Nore Eskew, Isabella and Julia Butler; and her brother-in-law Tim Butler (Nancy). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to The University of Dubuque Scholarship Fund and Hospice of Dubuque.
