She was predeceased by: her parents, Art Ruer and Lucille "Babe" Ruer (Hooks); her husband Ronald Kemp; her brothers, Jack Olinger and Tom Olinger (Mary); and her brother-in-law Bryan Thompson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Connie Azinger (Kevin) of Pella, IA and Kimberley Merfeld (Mark) of Peosta, IA; her grandchildren, Abbey Pollard (Eric), Lacey Taylor (Eric), Lakyn Merfeld, Bayleigh Merfeld, Alexa Azinger and Levi Azinger; her great grandchildren, Adyson, Quinten, Avary, William Pollard, Lane and Navy Taylor; and her siblings, Judy Botsford (Wayne) of Dubuque, IA, Nancy Thompson of Hurricane, UT, Debbie Mayne (Mark) of Davenport, IA and Ronnie Olinger (JoAnn) of Asbury, IA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
