She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Margan and Hildagaard Margan (Pickel); her husband Walter Knockel of Patrick's Catholic Church; her great grandchild Adrian; her siblings, Lloyd Margan (Vivian), Butch Margan (Ursula), Erma Kerkenbush (Alfred) and Germaine Hense (Arthur); and her brothers-in-law, Mike Stash, Gene Webb and Donald Frederick.

She is survived by: her children, Deborah Francois (Dave Stokes) of Dubuque, Tim Knockel (Patty) of Elizabeth, IL, Nancy Kainz (Kevin) of Mechanicsville, IA and Wayne Knockel (Jim Lynch) of Sterling, IL; her grandchildren, Luke Francois (Sarah), Eric Francois (Tammy), Stacy Knockel, Tina McVey (Brian), Raymond Knockel, Steven Knockel, Robert Miller (Nicole) and Michael Miller; and her siblings, Joe Margan (Grace) of Dubuque, JoAnn Stash of Huntington Beach, CA, Eleanor of Dubuque, Lorraine Webb of Dubuque and June Margan of Dubuque. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
