She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Linden and Elizabeth Straub Linden; her husband Paul Simon; her siblings, Robert Linden (Esther), Donald Linden (Dorothy), Tom Linden (Ida Marie), Delbert Linden and Dolores Nauman (Carl); her niece Stephanie Linden; and her stepsons, Steven Simon and Paul Patrick Simon.

She is survived by: her children, Renee Gorman (Gary) of Dubuque, IA, Paul Shappell (Becky) of Dubuque, Michele Ament (Tom) of Durango, IA and Victoria Kuper (Michael) of Scotch Grove, IA; her stepchildren, Catherine Becker (Rick) of Dubuque, Randy Simon (Barbara) of Boscobel, WI, David Simon of Dubuque, Lora Roling (Jeff) of Boscobel, WI and Bill Simon (Sue) of Chandler, AZ; her stepdaughter-in-law Sharon Simon of Sun City, AZ; and her siblings, Janice Wuertzer (Frederick) of Dubuque, Earl "Pete" Linden (Darlene) of Dubuque and John "Jack" Linden of Dubuque. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren.
