David J. Haas Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 6, 2025, David J. Haas of Dubuque, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren C. Haas and Velma Haas (Earle); his stepmother Lorraine Haas; and his in-laws, Lyal and Melva Kilian.
He is survived by: his son Kyal Haas (Brianne Boals) of Dubuque; his sisters, Sandi Schmidt (Terry) and Sue Schwartz (Mike) of La Motte; his siblings' children, Nicole, Finley Schmidt, Jacob Schwartz (Cyndy Montgomery), Jeff Schmidt (Stephanie), Molly Scott (Jamie), Greta and Enid; his brothers-in-law, Ken Kilian, Randy Kilian and Rick Kilian; and his pets, Snickers and Friskie.
In lieu of flowers, a David Haas Memorial Fund has been established. David's final great act was the donation of his pacemaker to the Iowa State University College Lloyd Veterinary Medicine Center for the advancement of science and care of dogs.
