He was predeceased by: his father Edward C. Apel (McDermott); his brother Alan Apel; his aunt Patricia Anger (McDermott); and his uncle Joseph McDermott. He is survived by: his mother Shirley Apel; and his brother William Apel of Dubuque, IA.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Behr Funeral Home (1491 Main St, Dubuque, IA 52001).
