He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dale Patton and Mary Jane Patton (Carrothers); his wife Susan Marie Budyak; his children, Jeffrey Patton (Carlie) of Crystal Lake, IL, Jason Patton of St. Louis, MO and Sarah Patton of Des Moines, IA; his grandchildren, Tyson, Hailee, Hannah Patton, Alonzo and Xavier Munford; his brothers, James Patton (Diane) of Ames, IA and Mark Patton (Emily) of Wilton, IA; his stepsiblings, Sandra Hodge (Glenn), Jo Veith and Doug Preussner (Suzanne); his stepmother Eliza; and his sisters, Candice Patton and Beverly Balster.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
