He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Even and Loretta Even (Herrig); his parents-in-law, Ted and Alberta Goffinet; his son Rick Even; his siblings, Mary Jane Harris (Kenny) and Clyde Even; and his siblings-in-law, Shirley O'Neill (Chuck), Sharlene Runde (John) and Tom Murray.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his sons, Danny Even (Jean), Dennis Even (Michele) and Doug Even (Lori); his daughter-in-law Kim Even; his grandchildren, Mitchell, Collin, Ryan, Sydney, Addison and Abby; his great grandchildren, Ella, Grayson, Cooper and Callum; his siblings, Larry Even (Joyce) and Diane Murray; and his siblings-in-law, Patricia Even and Ted Goffinet (Andrea).
A wake was held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 2:45 PM at the Leonard Funeral Home and Crematory (2595 Rockdale Rd, Dubuque, IA 52003). Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory (2595 Rockdale Rd, Dubuque, IA 52003). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Resurrection Catholic Church (4300 Asbury Rd, Dubuque, IA 52001).
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
