He was predeceased by: his parents, Waldo Pitz and Coletta Pitz (Germaine); his wife Loretta Pitz of Raphael's Cathedral; his mother-in-law Ruth Burke; and his brothers, Walter "Wally" Pitz (Doris) and Ronald Pitz.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Lehman (Jim) of Farley, IA, Thomas Pitz of Dubuque, Tina Hancock (Robert) of Dubuque and Lisa Pitz-Rokusek (Gene) of Dubuque. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
